GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Reception Admissions

Hardwick Primary School admission arrangements for Reception intake -September 2026

Parents of infant school children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 need to apply for an infant or primary school place for September 2026.

Applications for a place at the school are managed by Oxfordshire Local Authority through their coordinated admissions process online.

The admissions window opens on Tuesday 4th November 2025.

The deadline for receipt of applications was 15 January 2026 and offers will be sent out to families on Naional Offer Day - Thursday 16th April 2026.

Oversubscription criteria

School places will be offered to children at Hardwick Primary School using the criteria laid out in our Admissions Policy.

Late applications

If you submit your application without a good reason after the deadline, your application will be treated as late. This may affect the possibility of your child being offered a place at one of your preferred schools.We can support parents and carers through the application process for Reception after the 16th January deadline. Please contact the office if you need help.

Waiting lists

Where there are more children than places available, waiting lists will operate for each year group according to the oversubscription criteria in our Admissions Policy. Applicants who wish a child to go on a waiting list must reapply for in-year admission through Oxfordshire County Council.

Children of Staff

Applicants who wish to be considered for priority admission for Hardwick Primary School under the criterion of Children of Staff must complete the Supplementary Information  Form available in Appendix 1 of the School Admissions Policy and below, in addition to the local authority application form.

Request to Defer Place or Join Outside Chronological Year Group

Transition into Hardwick Primary School

Prior to your child joining our school we will arrange the following induction activities:

  • Welcome meeting to share school values and routines. 
  • The home visits is an informal opportunity to see your child in their familiar setting, home. Meet staff again and a chance to discuss any concerns. 
  • Pre-school visits to ensure a smooth hand over of any information between early years professionals 
  • Taster session (stay and play) at school to explore the classroom, meet teachers, support staff and new friends
